There have been countless times in my life when I have felt firmly rooted in the present, while also feeling compelled to make a major change in my life, to leap once again into the unknown. Each time I take this journey, I do so with great compassion for the fearful part of me that believes that this new path is somehow misdirected or wrong. At the same time, a larger part of me holds onto my knowing that everything always turns out perfectly and for the highest good of all concerned, even if the final destination is different than my original dream. When I get scared because another jump is upon me, I recount my history of successful landings and once again have the courage to move forward. By jumping over and over, I learn how to fly, and then remember that I always could.
